Daiwa Hydrolastic is the award winning revolutionary concept in pole elastic. Hook a big fish and Hydrolastic will increase to a higher rating as it is loaded with more ‘give’ than standard heavy elastics. Unlike other types of elastics, Hydrolastic has a hollow construction, which is filled with a secret high performance fluid and has a fully patented design. During the strike the elastic will semi lock ensuring positive hooking. When the fish runs the elastic will exit the tip as normal. If it runs at right angles or back against the tip increased resistance will be experienced. To slow down the exiting elastic, create an angle between the tip and elastic, towards 90 degrees. By doing this the rotating ball will turn towards the direction of the elastic increasing resistance internally. The greater the angle the greater the level of pressure you can 'load' on the fish. BEST USED WITH SIZE 6 - 10 ELASTICS. Large View

These Bushes are made exactly to fit the Match No 2 section of all Daiwa Poles. The internal bore will allow using Hydro elastic up to the Red grade. These are 100% PTFE Bushes and are exclusive to Fishermans Friend. Even though these were designed for Daiwa poles, we have found that they fit most poles on the market.

These Bushes are made exactly to fit the Power No 1 section of all Daiwa Poles. If the Power Top 2 is cut to the same length as the Match No 2 and 3 sections when put together, the Power Internal bush will fit exactly making the Power and Match tops exactly the same length. The Power bush will take any size Hydro elastic made. These are 100% PTFE Bushes and are exclusive to Fishermans Friend. Even though these were designed for Daiwa poles, we have found that they fit most poles on the market.
